We’ll only suggest necessary treatment and our compassionate, communicative approach will ensure that you feel comfortable with our care every step of the way.

composite vs. amalgam fillings
At James A. Burden DDS and Associates, we offer both composite and amalgam fillings. While both treatments repair cavities and help preserve and protect the natural structure of your teeth, there are a few key differences. Composite fillings are tooth-colored and ensure that the aesthetics of your smile are not affected by your treatment. However, composite fillings are not completely covered by most insurance plans. Amalgam fillings, on the other hand, are covered by most dental insurances. Amalgam is made out of a blend of metals that are extremely durable, but they are grayish in color. This means that most patients who are concerned about the cosmetics of their smile may be more interested in composite fillings.
root canal therapy
If your tooth is infected, we offer gentle, efficient root canal therapy to get you out of pain and back to smiling again. During root canal therapy, the pulp of your tooth is gently cleaned out, and the canal is disinfected then filled with state-of-the-art sealing material. The sealer we use is biocompatible, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. This makes for faster healing and a strong protective seal against bacteria. Do you have a painful toothache, sensitivity to hot and cold foods or beverages, or grayish discoloration? These are symptoms of a tooth infection, so don’t hesitate to call us and schedule a consultation! The sooner you get professional treatment, the healthier your mouth will be.
CEREC same-day restorations
ith our CEREC technology, our dentists can custom-design, mill, and place your crown in just one appointment. This advanced system enhances the patient experience for anyone in need of a crown, bridge, inlay, or onlay. Using a digital scanner, our dentist will obtain an impression of your tooth that is “powder and gunk-free.” We will use this digital impression to create a restoration that looks and feels completely natural. When you walk into our office for a dental restoration, you walk out shortly after with a restored smile.

partial & full dentures
If you have lost one or multiple teeth, we offer dentures to restore the function and aesthetics of your smile. Traditional partial dentures are held in place with a wireframe that attaches to your surrounding teeth, giving you a complete smile and enhanced confidence. Full dentures are custom-made and held in place by friction. At our office, we offer a wide range of solutions for patients suffering from tooth loss, including traditional dentures as well as implant-supported restorations.
