Dr. David Maharty, a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, graduated from University of Scranton where he received a bachelor of science degree in biology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University in 1995. Dr. Maharty opened his own practice in his home town in 2002 while also serving as Guest Lecturer at Wilkes University.
 He recently joined our practice where he is excited to combine his education and experience to provide the best in dental care for his patients.Â
Dr. Maharty has received special training in the placement of dental implants as well as cosmetic procedures. His areas of expertise include periodontics, implants and reconstructive dentistry. He is dedicated to a lifetime of continuing education, as well as, focusing on his particular interests in implant placement, cosmetic dentistry and periodontal care.    Â
Dr. Maharty is a member of the Pennsylvania Dental Society, American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association.Â
Dr. Maharty lives in Williamsburg and is married to his high school sweetheart, Kelly. They are the proud parents of three daughters, Morgan, Madison and Maleah. During his free time, he enjoys boating, attending his children’s activities and vacationing with his family. They especially enjoy tubing and water skiing.
